Five SJEB Teams win Memorial Day Weekend Titles
U9 Girls, U11 Girls, U13 Boys U14 Girls, U16 Girls all pick up trophies

 


U9 Girls
 
The SJEB U9 Girls had a very succesful weekend at the FC Delco Players Cup, winning all five games scoring 25 goals and conceding 9. They beat SYA Cardinals (VA) 4-1, World Class Arsenal (NJ) 4-3, and Albertson Blue (NYE) 7-1 in the group stages, and beat ISA Sting (NYE) 6-2 in the Semi-Final. The girls then had another hard fought match in the Final against World Class Arsenal. The girls were dominant on the way to a 4-2 win.

U11 Girls

The SJEB U11G "Wombat Warriors" defeated the Jackson Sharks in the championship game of the Voorhees Memorial Day tournament.  En route to the championship game the girls defeated Voorhees, Logan, Lehigh Valley United and Jackson.


U13 Boys

The u 13 boys had a hard fought and successful weekend winning the top maps flight at the mssl explosion memorial day tournament. Between the oppressive heat and strong storms they managed to get all their games in outlasting howell to clinch the title. It was an all around team effort and a great way to complete an outstanding spring season playing the top teams in the region.

U14 Girls

The U14 Girls won their league titles at the Columbia ASL Championships.  Each team competed in 9 league games at the Bethesda (MD), Triangle Friendlies (NC) and the Jefferson Cup (VA) which determined their seeding for ASL Championship which were held in Columbia, Maryland this weekend.


The U14G beat LDC 6-1 in the quarterfinals, PA Classics 2-0 in the Semi-finals and SAC 2-0 in the finals.



U16 Girls
 

 

The U16 Girls won their league titles at the Columbia ASL Championships. Each team competed in 9 league games at the Bethesda (MD), Triangle Friendlies (NC) and the Jefferson Cup (VA) which determined their seeding for ASL Championship which were held in Columbia, Maryland this weekend.

The U16G lost to Jersey United in the quarterfinals in penalty kicks, however, they still advanced to semifinals due to regular season points as a wildcard.  They beat FC Frederick 5-0 in the semifinals and Jersey United 3-0 in the finals.
